Water & Fire Resistant
Compact™88 Absorption tests have consistently tested at 12% and swelling at 7% respectively, however when given time to dry returns to its original thickness without any delamination, softening or breakdown of surface, core, or edges. This is all thanks to how the Compact™88 fibres allow the moisture to move through the board. Moisture moves one way in and one way out, with minimal to no bilateral movement within the materials highly dense core.
Workability and Surface Finishing
Better Machinability, Screw Holding and Stronger Joints are only a couple of finishing features of the Compact™88 range. With competent joinery skills and well-maintained wood working machinery you can create inspiring, durable, and quality pieces of work. All accomplished by means of sanding, moulding, routing, turning and edge profiling.
Compact™88 boards are supplied with a standard 150grit finish that is ready for painting, laminating, or clear coating, leaving the striking black/grey and wood fibre core exposed.
